Gym Project
The Bengals are taking steps to have our own GYM built. This Would give us the opportunity to have BASKETBALL, INDOOR SOCCER and allow us many more options.
Hello Business Owner,
My name is Vince Tarducci and I am the Bustleton Bengals GYM Director. Our clubhouse and
playground is located at 9945 President Street below Red Lion Road and the Roosevelt
Boulevard. The organization's President Kevin Hughes and I are writing this letter to request
support for the children of our Organization. We are presently in a drive to raise much needed
funds for having a Gymnasium built at Hayes Playground. We remain one of the few
organizations without their own gym in the neighborhood. We must use the neighboring schools
in order to have our youth participate in basketball.
Our club has been in existence since 1956. Over the years many Bengal leaders have made
numerous attempts to have our own gym built only to have the issue delayed due to lack of
funding. Brian O'Neill, City Councilman for the 10th district in Philadelphia has earmarked 90%
of this funding specifically for this project so we need your support to raise the additional 10%.
Assuming the cost is one million dollars our responsibility would be $100,000.00. Small
fundraising has amounted to some monies in our GYM account, but we need much more.
We need your support.
We have reached out to businesses in the Northeast Philadelphia area and plan on taking this
to another level. On Saturday, February 11, 2012 we will be hosting a Beef and Beer fundraiser
event for this Gym project. It will be held at Saint Domenic's Parish hall located at 8532
Frankford A venue. All proceeds will go to our Gym Account. If you are a business and wish to
make a donation we will assure that your company will be recognized and we would encourage
our members to patronize your establishment. We have a web site that is up and running and
visited daily 1200 of our members. The web address is located on the letterhead above.

assist in this monumental project. Please consider this when planning your 2012 budget for
allocation of funds to needy causes for the children of our community. What better way to
contribute by allowing boys and girls the opportunity to be active as in their own gym, in their
own neighborhood. Please support this worthwhile cause of having a place for the youth to play
in the Northeast City of Philadelphia.
